FAQs

Got a question about the race. These might help!

  • What is the entry cost?

The entry fee for the race is $355 NZD.

  • What payment options are available?

We accept payment by Credit card (Visa and Master Card) and via Internet Banking

  • Do I need transport?

Click here for transport options. Please note all competitors will be transported by bus from Te Anau to the start of the race at the Divide. This is part of your entry fee and does not need to be booked separately.

  • Where are the aid stations on the track?

Aid stations are located at Mackenzie Hut and Falls Hut. There will be Pure electrolytes, friendship and support. There are marshals out on the course with light supplies for those who require them at various locations. There are no cups at aid stations, please bring your own cup/bladder/bottle.

  • What is available at the Aid Stations?

Pure electrolytes, lollies, first aid and toilets. It is recommended that you carry other food and drink as per your individual needs. It is not a buffet at aid stations. Remember where you are, everything at the aid stations is carried in with the marshals plus their own survival and first aid equipment.

Mackenzie hut is where your compulsory gear is checked before you begin a mighty climb into the mountains. The rivers and streams you cross are all fresh mountain water. We drink from all of the rivers with good flow and have always lived to tell the story. Fortunately in Fiordland water is one thing that athletes do not lack.

  • What's at the finish line?

Number one, YOU will be at the finish line all going well. Water and Pure electrolytes are available. There is also a catering truck doing a large variety of food and hot drinks. You can expect fanfare, cheering and group hugs. Good times after a stand-out mission in the mountains and valleys.

  • How do I get my gear from Te Anau back to Queenstown and from the start to the finish line?

Gear that you don’t need for your night or morning in Te Anau and would like at the finish line is to be clearly labelled with your name and phone number and left with the Registration team when you register in either Te Anau or Queenstown on Friday.

Gear that you take to the start but don’t intend on taking with you on the Adventure Run can be left on the designated gear bus at the start line. This gear will NOT be taken to the finish line. It will be available at prizegiving.
